Outreach at Chingay Parade

Feb 11, 2017

Cheerful cub scouts from Kheng Cheng School Kestral Cub Scout Unit and Colugo Scout Group, accompanied by their parent scouts were all geared up for their ‘Mission’ on 10 and 11 Feb respectively during the Chingay Parade held at F1 Pit Building. They actively engaged the spectators to spread litter-free messages and encouraged them to keep the place clean. The scouts were heartened by the friendly public who had committed to keep the place clean and taken efforts to bin their litter at the end of event!

Singapore Scout Association (SSA) has also been working in hand with the Public Hygiene Council, to mobilise scouts at key national events (such as National Day Parade) to conduct litter-free outreach. Scouts will also be conducting litter-free outreach during their Job week in March. Through this, the scouts are groomed as advocates for a clean Singapore!
