Close to 100 Nee Soon South residents and volunteers from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and Monfort Care, gathered excitedly at Khatib Plaza on Sunday morning, ready to clean up the neighbourhood.
Flagged off by Grassroots Adviser, Er Dr Lee Bee Wah, the army of volunteers combed through the neighbourhood for litter, and cleared the walkways and other common spaces of discarded waste and cigarette butts. The volunteers also actively engaged other residents to spread the message of keeping Singapore clean and caring for public spaces.
