Dec 04, 2019

On Saturday 30 November 2019, the Public Hygiene Council (PHC) commemorated the official opening of the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre by our R.I.S.E. champions network partner, Tzu Chi Foundation. Guest-of-Honour, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, K Shanmugam, graced the official opening. Accompanying him for the opening was Advisor to Nee Soon South Grassroots Organisations, Er Dr Lee Bee Wah, and fellow grassroots leaders.

The Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre is a social space intended to bring together all Singaporeans to realise wholesome values, be connected with each other and society and to contribute towards a sustainable community. Originally conceived as a voluntary welfare organisation, Tzu Chi has grown to include a substantial footprint in environmental awareness and conservation. Tzu Chi takes part in PHC’s R.I.S.E. champions network where they are a leader in championing a clean and sustainable Singapore.
