Organise a clean-up at a beach or park near you and help keep Singapore's public spaces clean. Register via NEA's ePortal and borrow litter-picking tools from a CleanPod near you.
Stay Safe During the Haze
If you are organising or participating in a clean-up during periods of haze:
Check the 24-hour PSI before starting your clean-up activity
Reduce prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity, particularly for the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic heart or lung conditions
Take regular breaks indoors, where possible, and stay well hydrated
Adjust, postpone or stop the clean-up activity if haze conditions worsen

Step 1: Plan your clean-up
Decide on the date, time and location for your clean-up activity, and have the contact details of the person-in-charge ready.
Step 2: Register your clean-up
Applicable only to clean-up locations that require registration through NEA’s e-Portal. Register your clean-up through NEA’s e-Portal between 7 and 90 days before your activity. Once your registration is complete, take note of your booking reference number, as you may need it to request access to borrow litter-picking tools from a Public Hygiene Council (PHC) CleanPod.

Step 3: Prepare your clean-up tools
Prepare the tools you will need, such as litter-picking tongs and upcycled plastic bags. Alternatively, you may borrow litter-picking tools from a CleanPod near you. Email PHC with your booking reference number 7 calendar days before your clean-up to request access to a CleanPod.
Step 4: Brief your participants
Before starting the clean-up, brief your participants on the dos and don’ts and important safety guidelines. Remind everyone to stay hydrated throughout the activity.
Step 5: Dispose of the collected trash properly
At the end of the clean-up, ensure that all collected trash is properly disposed of at the nearest available bins or designated trash disposal points.
Step 6: Capture and share your clean-up efforts
Take a group photo with the litter collected and share your clean-up efforts on social media with #KeepSGClean and tag PHC at @KeepSGClean! We also strongly encourage you to submit your clean-up data through PHC’s R.I.S.E Champions Network Portal. Your submission will help PHC to better understand and recognise ground-up efforts to keep Singapore clean.
Everyone has a part to play in keeping Singapore clean, and taking action through clean-ups is a great way to make a positive impact on our living environment.
Clean-ups are a good way to demonstrate our support for a clean and hygienic environment, and through participating in them, we can better understand the importance of keeping our shared spaces clean. They can also be a fun and engaging activity for children to learn about environmentalism.

Please note the following information before registration:
There is no fee required for the registration.
Participants may conduct the beach clean-up between 9am to 6pm daily.
Recommended to have maximum of 50 participants per beach/park area. (e.g. maximum 50 pax at East Coast Park, Area G)
The activity is to be solely conducted by the teacher-in-charge / person-in-charge. No NEA / PHC personnel will be present to facilitate the clean-up.
NEA / PHC will not issue any ‘Certificate of Participation’.
