Clean-Up at Beaches and Parks
Organise a free clean-up at a beach or park near you and help keep Singapore's public spaces clean. Register via NEA's ePortal and borrow litter-picking tools from a nearby CleanPod.
Everyone has a part to play in keeping Singapore clean, and taking action through clean-ups is a great way to make a positive impact on our living environment.
Clean-ups are a good way to demonstrate our support for a clean and hygienic environment, and through participating in them, we can better understand the importance of keeping our shared spaces clean. They can also be a fun and engaging activity for children to learn about environmentalism.
Here's a simple guide to help you organise your first clean-up!
General Guide to organise your Clean-up activity:
Step 1: Identify when and where you would like to conduct your clean-up activity.
Step 2: Register your clean-up via the e-Portal, if required for your location.
Step 3: Get ready your clean-up tools (eg. Tongs, upcycled plastic bag & more). Alternatively, you may borrow litter-picking tools from a CleanPod near you. Email us at ask@publichygienecouncil.sg with your booking reference number, 7 to 10 days before your clean-up date.
Step 4: Before the clean-up, brief your friends/family/participants on the dos and don'ts, and safety guidelines to note for the activity. Remind them to stay hydrated. Learn more here.
Step 5: After the clean-up, take a group photo with the trash collected. Post the photo on your social media account and hashtag #KeepSGClean. Share Your Clean-up Data on the R.I.S.E Portal [Optional]
Step 6: Dispose of all collected trash in the nearest available/designated bins.

Please note the following information before registration:
There is no fee required for the registration.
Participants may conduct the beach clean-up between 9am to 6pm daily.
Recommended to have maximum of 50 participants per beach/park area. (e.g. maximum 50 pax at East Coast Park, Area G)
The activity is to be solely conducted by the teacher-in-charge / person-in-charge. No NEA / PHC personnel will be present to facilitate the clean-up.
NEA / PHC will not issue any ‘Certificate of Participation’.

Registration can be made at least 21 days from date of clean-up and up to 90 days in advance on e-portal (Click on Public Education & Partnership -> Learning Journeys -> Clean-up at Beaches and Parks)

Step 3: Submission of Clean-up data to R.I.S.E Portal
